The two-part Represent program offers a range of events, from intimate spoken word performances in gallery spaces throughout the day to a major outdoor hip-hop concert on Sunday night. Bringing together poets, writers and performers whose words and rhymes are a powerful means of expression, Represent highlights the importance of oral storytelling in Indigenous Australian and Pacific Islander cultures, and demonstrates the relationship of these traditions to contemporary art practices.
