A dynamic performance, public, and educational program will be presented in conjunction with 'The 5th Asia–Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art'.
Performance programs planned for the first weekend of APT5 in early December will showcase some of the most talented performers from Australia and the Asia–Pacific region. A comprehensive program of tours, artist talks, panel discussions and keynote lectures will also be presented, with educational events also continuing for the duration of the exhibition.
One of the highlights of the opening weekend will be the premiere of a specially commissioned performance work, Kin, by acclaimed artistic director and choreographer Stephen Page. Exploring urban Aboriginal youth culture, a documentary on the making of Kin, as well as a film of the performance, will also screen as part of the exhibition.
