A Japanese child’s picture of their favourite person, for TSUYOSHI OZAWA’s Everyone likes someone as you like someone project for Kids’ APT.

The only place to be these summer holidays is at the Kids' APT Summer Spectacular! The action-packed 16-day program will include a range of exciting performances, artist-run workshops and activities directly linked to art works and ideas from the APT5 exhibition, including story telling and games.

The Australian Cinémathèque will screen daily programs of fabulous Japanese animation for kids at 11.30am and 2.00pm, as part of the Japan Fantastic: Before and Beyond Anime program. Don't miss the Kids' APT Quiz Show, with all sorts of special guests ready to lead their young teams to a creative victory.

Other highlights include the What I Think! Competition, Djambawa Marawili’s ‘Djet’ fishing story, a collaborative quilt project, Indigenous games, Hula Haka with local Pacific dancers, and Punjabi Bhangra with the Singh Sisters, Bhangranights and a Japanese tea ceremony.

Don’t miss the fabulous finale at 2pm on Sunday January 28 — an exciting dance-off led by hip-hop sensations Indigenous Intrudaz. Please view the program guide for full details.
