GoMA open late

To celebrate APT5’s final days, the Gallery of Modern Art will be open until 9pm on Friday 25 May.
Visit APT5 and Collection galleries in GoMA, see the Australian debut performance of Punkasila, or catch Suzhou River by Chinese director Lou Ye.

The Foyer Cafe and Members Lounge will be open for light snacks, drinks and coffee until 9pm.

Catch the acclaimed fifth exhibition in the Asia–Pacific Triennial series, in its final days. APT5 closes on Sunday 27 May.

RudeKat SoundSystem is the DJ branch of RudeKat Records — Brisbane’s independent reggae, dub and soul music label.

Punkasila

7.30pm Punkasila
Punkasila is a collaborative project formed by Melbourne-based artist Danius Kesminas in 2006, with graduates and students from the Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta. Weilding custom-made guitars and dressed in camouflage batik, the eight-member band exploded onto Indonesia’s art and music scenes in 2006 and will present their first Australian performance at GoMA. Their debut CD, Acronym Wars, has just been released in Australia.
