The Gallery's education programs offer opportunities for students, teachers and lecturers from early childhood through to tertiary levels to engage with APT5 and Collection displays in the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art. A variety of printed and online resources are available for teachers when visiting the exhibition, including the APT5 education resource kit which provides information on the artists, art works and themes. The kit also includes curriculum information, discussion points and activities for use as a pre- and post-visit resource.

APT5 EDUCATION KIT TERTIARY APPENDIX

This appendix has been developed for lecturers and tertiary students to use prior to and following a visit to APT5. It provides contextual information, bibliographical sources and suggested APT5 works to explore through the exhibition. Themes covered include: Contemporary International Art, Film and New Media and Social and Cultural Contexts, which relate to university subjects in a range of fields.

Teacher workshops provide practical suggestions for using educational resources to explore APT5 themes in the classroom. A variety of sessions are offered, enabling teachers to choose sessions relevant to their teaching level and interest. NEW WAVE FORUM: APT5 IN CONTEXT

DESIGN YOUR OWN TOUR
The Gallery is pleased to announce an exciting new approach to school tours. All school tours will be self-guided with the aid of a dynamic online interactive resource, Design your own Tour. The resource allows teachers to customise their tours to meet specific curriculum objectives. Complete with art work information, maps, discussion points and extension activities, this resource will make school group tours even easier.

SCHOOL AND GROUP BOOKINGS
The Gallery anticipates large visitor numbers following the opening of the Gallery of Modern Art and APT5. To help us ensure that your gallery experience is a rewarding one, we ask that groups of 10 or more provide us with 72 hours notice. To avoid overcrowding, the number of group bookings on busy days will be limited. To book your group visit to APT5, please call the Education Bookings Officer on (07) 3840 7255 between 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
