In addition to the public programs held over the opening days of APT5, an extensive ongoing public program exploring the themes, artists and works presented in APT5 runs throughout the exhibition. Enjoy a range of events, from lectures and short lunchtime talks to special ‘in-conversation’ programs with APT5 artists.

For schools

APT5 offers many opportunities for students and teachers to engage with contemporary art from the Asia–Pacific Region.

As part of the APT5 education program, a variety of printed and online resources are available for teachers when visiting the exhibition. The APT5 education resource kit provides information on the artists, art works and themes of the exhibition. The kit also includes curriculum information, and discussion points and activities, for use in the classroom as a pre- and post-visit resource.

Through a series of professional development programs to be held in early 2007, teachers can access innovative ways to plan and deliver tours of APT5 and the Gallery’s Collection for students.

For further information on visiting the Gallery or for information on teacher professional development programs, please contact the Education Bookings Officer on (07) 3840 7255 or make an inquiry.
